*Motherboard Types

There are thousands of motherboards out there that come in various sizes. Have you got confused buy what ITX, ATX, Micro-ATX etc... are?

These are the sizes of the motherboard. you use the same terms to find a case to fit the motherboard into. For example, if you have an ATX motherboard, you need an ATX case. Some cases support different sizes of motherboards. Most motherboards you buy will probably be in the ATX family.
Another ATX motherboard type is pico ATX which is for specialized low power applications.

ATX is the most common for fast PCs. Micro-ATX for budget.

The only ones you can use on your self built computer are Windows, Linux and an open source edition of Chrome OS called Chromium. It is illegal to use OSX on a non Apple device.
